Ascot United vying for SRWFL League Cup trophy in an already historic season for the club

Ascot United Women are looking to create more club history as they head to Scours Lane in the Southern Region Women’s Football League Cup final to face off against Winchester City Flyers.

The Yellas lifted the Premier Division trophy just two weeks ago, securing promotion to the National League for the first time in the club’s history and so will be keen to round off the season with the League Cup too.

Ascot have made a habit of the League Cup Final in the last three seasons having won the trophy in the 2022/23 against Eastleigh in the Community and narrowly missing out on penalties to Bournemouth Sports in the 2023/24 season, they’ll be looking to rectify that loss in this year’s final.

Road to the final for Ascot United

First Round – BYE
Second Round – Woking 0-2 Winchester
Quarter-Final – Winchester 1-0 Beaconsfield Town
Semi-Final – Sholing 1-3 Winchester

Road to the final for Winchester City Flyers

First Round – Ascot United 4-1 Woodley United
Second Round – Ascot United H-W Slough Town
Quarter-Final – Ascot United 6-0 Havant & Waterlooville
Semi-Final – Ascot United 6-2 AFC Porchester

Best of luck to the Yellas!
