The young left-back was a member of Binfield’s much heralded Soccer School and made steady progress through Chelsea’s Academy, before Newcastle United snapped up him up for £35million.

Hall set up against former club, Chelsea, in the round of 16 that as Newcastle booked a narrow spot with a 1-0 win. They then ended Brentford’s run in the quarterfinal with Hall part of the 3-1 win before featuring in both semi-final legs that dispatched Arsenal 4-0 to book the Magpies place in the final at Wembley.

Hall has unfortunately been sidelined for the remainder of the season since having foot surgery after Newcastle’s win over West Ham earlier in the week. With the youngster taking to Instagram to confirm his recovery.

“Still absolutely devastated to not be out there with the lads at such a crucial part of the season. Surgery was a success and now time to rest, recover and support the boys. Thank you for all the messages over the past week, can’t wait to be back out there ready for next season.”

The Magpies faced Liverpool in the final stage of the competition and came out 2-1 winners with goals from Dan Burn and Aleksander Isak.
