Ascot United Women are proving their metal in the Southern Region Women’s Football League Premier Division title charge after being named in the top 10 defences across the English Women’s Football Pyramid.
They sit eighth in the country alongside the likes of fellow Tier 5 sides Fulham and Dartford, and in the professional company of Manchester United with current Women’s Super League holders Chelsea sitting six places below the Yellas.
And while Ascot are prolific in front of goal in the Premier Division, they’re proving to be a brick wall in defence with Darcy Mitchell, Alix Todd and Erin Huntley most recently bolstering the line with Jodie Gray-Piazza all but unbeatable between the sticks.
The squad have registered an impressive nine clean sheets across their league campaign since the start of the season in September 2024.
Ascot currently lead the table by five points with a game in hand over nearest rivals Wycombe Wanderers. The Yellas could well be one step closer to the title when they visit struggling Badshot Lea on Sunday.
