Ascot United’s three senior women’s teams currently boast a remarkable treble at the mid-point in the season.
The clubs first team, reserve team and under 18s all sit proudly at the top of their respective divisions – and in one case have a connection with enough players to half-fill their title rivals side.
The first team top the Southern Region Women’s Football League Premier Division on goal difference from Oxford City, but have two games in hand over their nearest title rivals.

The reserves, promoted from the Thames Valley Counties Women’s Football League two seasons ago, top the SRWFL Division One North by a point from Beaconsfield Town – although the Buckinghamshire side have a game in hand – and the under 18s top their JPL Warriors division by six points from Oxford United.
The first team, led these days by Andy Cox, boast a talented squad including Katie Vince who has been with the club since the age of 11, while up front Olivia Glover and Leah Littlechild supply a steady stream of goals.

Familiar names in the line-up over the last few seasons include Alix Todd and Georgia Luckhurst-McCord – both have played 12 times already this season.
If promoted this season, the Yellas would likely join Berkshire’s other senior women’s side, Maidenhead United, in the FA Women’s National League South West Division One.
The Reserves meanwhile still have work to do this season if they are to gain promotion, but are the joint highest scorers in the division and have one of the meanest defences.

Only Beaconsfield come close – the Rams have a number of former Yellas in their ranks including goalkeeper Lisa Phillips, Sarah Davern, Dom Carrington, Izzy Woods and the division’s leading scorer with 15, Nicole Brown.
There should certainly be no concerns about a talent pathway at the club either with the under 18s topping their table. The young Yellas face the likes of Wycombe Wanderers, Yeovil Town and Aldershot Town in their division and lead with a perfect record of six wins from six this season.
