Slough Town youngster Gabe George is up for a Berkshire Football Award in the category of Young Player of the Season (Male).
George spent part of last season on loan at Binfield playing 20 times as well as making a further 6 appearances this time around.
However it is with parent club Slough Town where the young left-back has broken through featuring 28 times for the Rebels as they headed to safety in the Vanarama National League South.
The nomination for the award said: “Gabe has successfully graduated through the Academy to become a main member of the first team this season. He has taken the place of George Wells who left for Hanworth Villa. He has been absolutely brilliant putting in a number of consistent performances at left back or left wing back. He has shown other youngsters that if you work hard then there is a career pathway from the youth teams and into the first team. He was awarded Slough Towns Young Player of the Year award.”
