After taking some time out of the game, long-serving former Slough Town management team Neil Baker and Jon Underwood are back in the game.
The legendary Rebels duo have just taken over at Southern League Premier Division South Beaconsfield Town with the club 12th in the division and a consistent run away from making a play-off charge.
Baker and Underwood will be somewhat familiar with Holloways Park having started their Slough managerial careers ground-sharing with the Buckinghamshire side.
Games of note to come for the club formerly known as Beaconsfield SYCOB include trips to Winchester City, Weston-super-Mare and a side both players captained in their playing days, Bracknell Town, on Monday 10th April.
Scott Davies: ‘It should be more but Bakes and Unders kept letting me go’
A statement on the Beaconsfield website revealed the club’s ambition to reach the Vanarama National League: “The directors are extremely proud of the club’s achievements over the past 5 years, but we are making this appointment to reflect our ambition to sustainably progress to the National League, at the forefront of our minds.”
