Royals will face FA Cup holders
The draw for the Quarter Finals of the 2022/23 Vitality Women’s FA Cup has drawn Reading FC Women at home to their toughest possible opponent in Chelsea Women.
The Royals were first out the bag live on BBC One on Monday night and will play host to the reigning FA Women’s Super League and FA Cup holders Chelsea.
Reading are in the last eight for the first time since 2019 after beating Tottenham Hotspur 5-4 on penalties on Sunday after a goalless 120 minutes.
The full 2022/23 Vitality Women’s FA Cup Quarter Final draw
- Reading vs Chelsea
- Aston Villa vs Manchester City
- Lewes vs Manchester United
- Birmingham City vs Brighton
The winners of the Women’s FA Cup Fifth Round ties all received £20,000 with £5,000 awarded to the runners up.
In the Quarter Finals that winners prize pot increases to £25,000 with £6,250 to the beaten side.
Quarter Final ties are due to take place on Sunday 19th March.
