FC Fernhill beat table-toppers Crowthorne Inn 6-0 and progress to round 3 of the Bracknell Town & District Sunday League Senior Cup. Having struggled to get their league season under way with a string of disappointing results could this result prove to be the catalyst for a change in fortune for the former Champions? Elsewhere In the senior cup, Golden Farmer also bagged themselves 6 goals to Intercity’s 2 and Winkfield of division 1 caused the upset of the round by defeating FC Meta of the premier division (4-2).

A number of Senior Cup ties were settled with penalties including that between the top 2 in Division 1 with Raglan defeating WAB after the game had finished 3-3. Loveman United lost out on penalties to Sandhurst FFC after the tie had also finished 3-3 whilst it is understood that holders Morale Madrid defeated William Twigg Vets on penalties after that one finished 1-1. The result of the shoot-out between Wokingham & Emmbrook TMW (tie finished 1-1), was unknown at the time this round-up was written.
Division 2 Athletico Ascot defeated Braybrooke Athletic, also of Division 2 by 5-0 in the 2nd round of the League Junior Cup. There were also big wins for Silver Birch by 8-1 against Crownwwood Dukes and Newbold College by 5-1 against Bracknell Cavaliers Reserves. Also progressing to the 3rd round were Bearwood Wanderers and Bracknell Saint Germain,
In Division 1 AFC Crowthorne closed the gap on the leading pack and moved 3rd with a 6-3 win against Berks All Stars. Finchampstead Athletic Reserves earned a point in a 3-3 draw with Binfield Royals that should settle the nerves following a run of poor results whilst Ashridge Park defeated Hurricanes 3-2
Warfield United moved 10 points clear at the top of Division 2 following their 4-2 win against 3M. Elsewhere there was more woe for Bracknell Athletic as they slumped to further defeat, this time by 2-3 to Berks County.
Woodley Saints lost their 100% league record in Division 3 after sharing 10 goals with Winnersh Town. Despite dropping points Saints remain top, 4 points clear of Bracknell Corinthians, the only side now in the league with a 100% record intact, who didn’t play. Coirinthians have two games in hand over Saints. WAB Reserves (3rd) and Winnersh Rangers (4th) shared the points following a 2-2 draw.
