Stalwart Binfield Football Club secretary Rob Challis has been nominated for the ‘Volunteer of the Year’ Bracknell Football Award.

Challis has been a big part of the Moles remarkable consistency on the pitch and continued growth off it ensuring the club runs smoothly – as FiB co-editor Darrell Freeland will tell you the role of club secretary is one of the most time consuming and involved at any club.

The nomination for Rob reads: “Rob has been a supporter and volunteer of Binfield FC for a number of years. This year, like no other, Rob has been fantastic in supporting the First Team, Reserves & Development and Youth Team. Paper work, kit, organising fixtures. These are just a proportion of the elements that Rob’s involved with while not only running the senior section, but being a pivotal part in the entire club. Thanks again Rob, we appreciate all of your hard work.”

If you think Rob is deserving of the ‘Volunteer of the Year’ award or you have someone who you’d like to nominate, please fill out the form below to cast your vote!
