While we don’t cover Slough Town as part of our ‘Bracknell’ remit, Duds and I just wanted to wish form Bracknell Town defenders Neil Baker and Jon Underwood the best of luck in their quest for promotion to the National League South as joint managers of Slough Town.
Both were instrumental in our early years watching football at non-league level and have gone from strength to strength as a managerial partnership at the Rebels and before that Godalming Town.
Baker had several spells at Larges Lane and captained the side more times than we can remember while ‘Unders’ gave everything to the club both on the pitch and later as manager.

Fingers crossed for the Rebels though, it goes to show how far a club can fall and rise after two spells in what was the Conference between 1990 and 1998, later becoming involved in a step four Southern League Division 1 relegation battle with the Robins in 2008.
