Binfield will be looking to make it second time lucky in the Reading Senior Cup Final this evening when they face Henley Town at Madejski Stadium (ko 7pm).
The Moles were beaten finalists last season as Wokingham & Emmbrook retained their crown for the fourth successive season, but Binfield put an end to that run this time around beating the Satsuma’s in the quarter finals courtesy of Jean-Claude Etienne (pictured above).

Decision time for Roger

Moles boss Roger Herridge confirmed to us this afternoon that Chris Dean and Jack Broome are both available for selection, but the headache comes from the superb performance by a number of reserve team players who stepped in for the semi-final victory at Highmoor-IBIS.
Herridge was high on praise for Jamie McCarthy on Sunday and spoke again about the depth of his squad in the Bracknell News on Wednesday (as an aside, when did it stop coming out on a Thursday?).
Henley won’t roll over
As Binfield found last season against a Division 1 East outfit with promotion in their back pocket in the final, Henley Town will be no walkover later on.

Last season it was Wokingham who thwarted them having already secured promotion into the Hellenic Premier, this time Henley will be locking horns in the same division next season and will want to set their stall out early.
The ‘Red Kites’ finished third in 1 East with the third highest goalscoring record and were beaten only six times during the league campaign.
The club formerly know as the Lilywhites have Richard Bennett, Ben Clark and Asa Povey on double figures and both Clark and Pover were on the scoresheet in the semi-final against Westwood United.
The Madejski won’t be full, but it’ll be a terrific atmosphere
If it’s anything like the last final we went to – Bracknell Town vs Chesham United at Wycombe Wanderers in the County Cup, a great day but don’t ask about the score – then three sides of the ground will be empty.
BUT don’t let that put you off. If you are following Binfield or Henley then you’ll be surrounded by like-minded souls backing your local club to the hilt.
Full details on where, how and cost is here for you.
If you can’t make it, you (hopefully) won’t miss a kick
As well as live blogging the game, we have permission to live stream it – something we will do through our facebook event which you can join here.
