Binfield’s Reading Senior Cup semi-final is now in mid-May

After playing day in day out to fit in all the games required to fulfil an Uhlsport Hellenic League season by mid-April, Binfield have a chance to recharge ahead of the Reading Senior Cup semi-final with Highmoor-IBIS after the game was moved to Saturday 14th May.

The Moles and manager Roger Herridge were gearing up to play the tie at Scours Lane (the old Reading Town ground) on Saturday, but the tournament organisers have announced via twitter the game will now be played in 15 days time.

The other semi-final between Henley Town and Westwood United will take place on Tuesday 3rd April.

Binfield beat holders Wokingham & Emmbrook in the quarter-finals last week courtesy of a late Jean-Claude Etienne strike, and their reserve side have an Ascot & Fielden Cup final to look forward to on Wednesday.
