Tonight sees the first of the Bracknell Town & District Sunday League cup finals as Sunningdale & Wentworth face Binfield Club Athletic in the BTDSL Senior Cup Final at Bracknell Town’s Larges Lane ground. Kick-off is 7.45pm.
Both sides play in the Premier Division with S&W finishing third and Binfield ending in seventh place.
The sides met on 20th April in the final round of league matches with Sunningdale running out 2-1 winners whilst they also won the first encounter 4-0 in October.
The two league victories coupled with the fact that S&W won the cup two years ago beating Hawthorn Harriers 5-1 in a bad tempered final surely makes them favourites.
Both sides are sprinkled with former Binfield and Bracknell Town players so it promises to be a good final.
Sunningdale’s last cup final
2013 against FC Fernhill since you ask..
One to watch

Jake White (Binfield Club Athletic) – Started the season with Bracknell Town before moving to Flackwell Heath. Has been injured but was given the all clear following an MRI scan yesterday so will be chomping at the bit tonight. A lightening quick player who can play as striker, out wide or in defence.
What’s next?
Next week sees Division Three winners Finchampstead Athletic Sunday Reserves and runners-up Whitegrove – who already have the Berks & Bucks County Junior Sunday Cup to their name this season – compete in the BTDSL Junior Cup final at Larges Lane.
With 45 teams competing in the Bracknell Town & District Sunday League this season, it would be good to see both finals well supported.
We will have a full Neil Graham photo gallery from this match over the weekend. Keep an eye on our facebook page.
