Southern League Premier Division South side Hungerford Town have announced a big off the pitch change at Bulpit Lane.
Crusaders chairman Alan O’Donohue, the club website announced, is to step down with immediate effect.
“It is with great regret that Alan O’Donohue has decided to step down from his role as club chairman. We would like to wish Alan well, and thank him for all his hard work and support in the role since taking over last year. We are sure Alan will remain a keen supporter of this club,” a statement said.
In the same statement it was confirmed vice chairman Cris Bowden would take over as interim chairman.
Hungerford still have a chance of reaching the play offs, they are five points behind Merthyr Town and have crucial ties against the Welsh side (away – 1st April) and Berkshire rivals Bracknell Town (home – 29th March) over the Easter weekend as well as Poole Town on Tuesday night.
