This season marks another success in the recent history of Virginia Water Football Club as they were, along with twenty-two other clubs, accepted into the FA Cup for the first time.
On Saturday August 10th they will travel to AFC Croydon Athletic of the Southern Counties East League to play in the Extra Preliminary Round of the FA Cup.
Virginia Water had a very solid first season in the Hellenic League Premier Division last term finishing in 14th of 19 clubs.

Their pre-season continues on Saturday when they face Thame Rangers and next Tuesday when they face Wokingham & Emmbrook. Both games are at “home” for Virginia Water at their historic “The Timbers” ground in Surrey.
The other clubs accepted into the FA Cup for the first time are: AFC Vardeanians, Avro, Campion, Coggeshall United, Ilkeston Town, Longbridge Town, Lower Breck, Malmesbury Victoria, Melton Town, Mulbarton Wanderers, Norwich CBS, Punjab United, Rylands, Selston, Sheerwater, Sherwood Colliery, Stone Old Alleynians, Thame Rangers, Thornbury Town, Tooting Bec, Welling Town and White Ensign.
