Independently of each other, a group of former Ascot United players and members of Slough Town’s Supporters Trust are preparing for charity walks before the end of April 2019.

The Ascot group which includes Rob Saunders, Ray Saunders, Stuart Scammell, Sam McIntyre, John Gavin, Mark Lambert, Michael Cecil, Neil Corbett, Jon Keough and Tim Standing are walking 15 miles for the The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

The group will join the Banham Marsden March between hospitals in Chelsea and Sutton on 10th March 2019.

If you’d like to donate, the group are aiming to raise £2,000 for the charity. The justgiving page is here.

Over in Slough, the clubs supporters trust will take part in an annual end of season walk, this time to Woking to coincide with the two clubs fixture on Saturday 23rd March.

The Trust is raising money for the Slough Pit Stop Project – an educational charity offering young people across Slough vocational courses in motor mechanics, catering and construction to gain industry recognised qualifications. Money raised from the walk is split between the Trust and Pit Stop, who will use it to purchase new tools and equipment.
