Holyport Football Club are looking for a new manager following the resignation of Barry Rake.
The Uhlsport Hellenic League Division 1 East side were informed of their managers decision on Friday evening and confirmed the news on the club website on Wednesday.
Rake had been in charge of the Holyport first team at Summerleaze for three seasons having been boss of the reserves for a further three.
The club finished the 2017/18 season in a healthy fifth place and the ‘Port board have confirmed a ‘caretaker’ manager.
‘Service and commitment’
A post on the website reads: “Matt Rolfe will take temporary charge of the side with Lee Ovens and Steve Deverall assisting him until a further announcement is made.”
The statement paid tribute to Rake’s efforts at the club: “The club would like to thank Barry for his service and commitment during the last six seasons (three as Reserve team manager and three as first team manager). Taking charge of a combined total of 180 games over his six season’s.”
