Thatcham Town vs Andover New Street – FA Cup Preliminary Round on 17th August 2024
A train trip to West Berkshire and a wander over the River Kennet and I had reached this week’s destination, Waterside Park, home of Thatcham Town FC. Upon reaching the food kiosk I checked out their menu which is limited but would cater for most football supporters, serving quarter pounder burgers, cheeseburgers, double cheeseburgers, sausage baps and chips, with or without cheese, all at a very reasonable price.
A small menu, but what they do, they do well. I ordered the double cheeseburger (with onions) and some chips. The burger was tasty and served in a fresh bun and adding a good-sized portion of chips made it a filling meal and all for £7.50. No complaints from me with that, and the food looked to be popular with a large percentage of the crowd having at least one of the items. I think I might try the cheesey chips next time…!
