Ascot United Ladies have strengthened their Southern Region Women’s League Division 1 side ahead of the weekends derby with neighbours Woodley United.

Forward Elicia Mulvaney has joined the Yellawomen and will go straight in to the squad for Sunday’s trip to Bulmershe Pavilion.

Mulvaney previously played for Wokingham & Emmbrook in the Thames Valley Counties Women’s Football League under 18s division where she played three times this season.

United are the second highest scorers in the division with 35 goals, but they also have one of the leakier defences with 27 conceded – that said they still have an excellent chance of finishing in the top three.

Meanwhile attacker Nicole Edwards and full back Anni Young have joined Thames Valley Counties Women’s Football League Division 2 South side Bracknell Town ‘Dev’ on a dual registration.

Edwards made her debut in the Robins 2-1 win at home to Harefield United while Young has appeared twice.
