Reading FC Women have announced the capture of Birmingham City Ladies midfielder Remi Allen on a long term deal this afternoon.
Allen has played six times for Royals FA WSL 1 rivals Birmingham this season and joins after being impressed by the clubs training facility at Bisham Abbey and the close-nit nature of the squad.
Speaking in a release on the clubs official website Allen said: “I was really impressed with what they [manager Kelly Chambers and coach Phil Cousins] had to say regarding the direction the club wants to go moving forward. I saw the facilities at Bisham Abbey, which are unbelievable.”
Allen will where squad number 8 and is available for Reading’s cup match with Arsenal on Saturday at The Hive.

The Royals teased a new addition to Kelly Chambers FA WSL 1 squad was imminent on their twitter account this morning and the signing of the former England under 23 international has been greeted positively by fans.
