We dubbed him the ‘Hellenic hitman’ when he signed for Bracknell Town at the start of last season and TJ Bohane certainly lived up to the moniker, but now it appears the Wiltshire based forwards future lies elsewhere after a post on his personal twitter account.
It was a momentous season for the forward at Larges Lane scoring 42 goals in 46 fixtures in all competitions alongside 45 goal strike partner Adam Cornell.
That partnership looks though like it has come to an end after the forwards tweet on Wednesday morning and we understand he is making the step up to the Evo Stik Southern League with Division 1 South & West side Swindon Supermarine with manager Mark Tallentire’s blessing.
Bohane posted: “Thanks for the memory’s Bracknell Town FC the best year I’ve had in football. I’m sure the ultras will cheer u to league success next year”

Bohane started the season with Royal Wootton Bassett Town but made the move to Larges Lane in late August, a clear signal of the Robins title challenging ambitions.
Prior to joining Bracknell, Bohane had successful spells with Highworth Town and Shortwood United as well as Supermarine.
Before the 2016/17 season, Bohane’s Hellenic League record read 225 matches played in all competitions with 174 goals scored.

Setting the stall out early
Bohane made his mark early for Bracknell, scoring twice on his debut at Hellenic Premier big guns Thatcham Town, arguably the match that set the tone for the Robins season after a slightly inconsistent start.
The striker went on to score in all three of Bracknell’s cup finals at the end of the season as Mark Tallentire’s men brought home a hat trick of trophies. Bohane terrorised neighbours Binfield with a goal in each of the County Cup and Reading Senior Cup Finals, and scored the decisive winner against former club Highworth in the Bluefin Sports Hellenic League Challenge Cup Final.
We’d like to wish TJ all the best in his new challenge at step 4, it’s a huge shame it won’t be with Bracknell and it is going to be fascinating to see who the Robins bring in with a title challenge and the prospect of two step 5 promotion spots in the Hellenic Premier on the cards in 2017/18
