One of Bracknell Town’s most promising youngsters is staying at Larges Lane for the the 2016/17 season.
Youngster George Lock broke through at the Lane at the end of the 2014/15 season under Keith Pennicott-Bowen and became an important part of Mark Tallentire’s side last year as the Robins completed an unlikely escape from the relegation zone.
In the 2014-15 season, Lock won the Youth Team Manager’s Player of the Year award as Paul Howe’s side won the Allied Counties Youth League South Division.
‘Homegrown’ Lock was named youth team captain for the Allied Counties side, but his first team commitments meant his game time for the youngest Robins was limited.
Lock was second only to departed goalkeeper Garry Aulsberry in the appearance stakes last season, making 42 appearances in all competitions and starting 32 of those.
His tenacious performances last year earned him the First Team Supporters Player of the Year Award which he won by a landslide earning more than half of the votes collected by Duds.
