Bracknell Town will be back in the Allied Counties South Division next season despite a brave performance in a 3-1 defeat this evening at home to Uxbridge.
It was ‘winner stays up’ this evening as Connor Thorndike (pictured) – back after a season disrupted by injury – put the Robins ahead going into half time.
With a place at the top table at stake, Uxbridge – 3-1 winners the last time the sides met – weren’t going to go quietly and got themselves level after the break before making the most of Bracknell’s push for a winner with two late goals.

The result means Bracknell will go down as they will finish in the bottom three, and they will be overtaken by Aylesbury should they beat point-less Windsor in their final game.
Not what manager Dan Sleet would have wanted, but the young Robins are in the first year of a two-year cycle (they should only lose a handful of over-age players) and will be older and wiser next term, ready to challenge for a hat-trick of south division titles.
Bracknell Town youth: Baseley, Periquito, Palmer, A Ford, Young, Sheeran, Wigmore, S Ford, Hannibal, Hanley, Thorndike. Subs used: Kyeremeh, Pearson, Rai, Simpson. Subs not used: Senussi.
