Binfield FC are just 90 minutes from a third trip to Reading’s Madejski Stadium in as many years if they can get past Thames Valley League side Woodcote Stoke Row at Hill Farm Lane on Tuesday evening in the Reading Senior Cup semi final.
The previous two trips ended in disappointment for Roger Herridge’s side so will it be a case of ‘third time lucky’?
Before thoughts turn to a potential final with either Wokingham & Emmbrook or Bracknell, Herridge’s Moles will have to get past Woodcote who beat Finchampstead and Highmoor-IBIS in the previous rounds.
WSR are fourth in the TVPL Premier with two games to play, the same position they finished in last season but could still finish as runners up if results go there way.

Binfield will undoubtedly be expected to win this game by virtue of being two divisions higher than their opponents, but Woodcote have beaten higher opposition in this seasons competition and as we saw in the County Intermediate Cup Final between Marlow United and Woodley United – there isn’t a great deal of difference between the top of the TVPL and the Hellenic League.
