We said in our preview that all that was stopping Bracknell Town advancing in the Buildbase FA Vase was ‘complacency’.
*Back tracking*
We’d clearly gotten caught up in Bracknell’s excellent last three games and forgotten that discipline, and perhaps, just perhaps the opposition scoring a few more goals than the Robins.
As it is, it is a delighted Croydon who advance to the Second Round of the FA Vase with a fine win after TJ Bohane had put Bracknell 1-0 ahead on eight minutes.
Four Croydon goals, two red cards for Bracknell – Carl Davies and Chris Grace, and two penalties for the home side – one saved by Callum Whitty and it was the Trams who were going through.
Bracknell will have to quickly lick those wounds with the visit of Highworth Town to Bottom Meadow on Tuesday night.
Oh, and well played sir..
