After the disappointing 5-2 defeat to Eversley & California on Tuesday night that all but ended Binfield’s Allied Counties South Division promotion hopes they made amends by hitting 10 unanswered strikes past Thatcham Town.
Both Eversley and Sandhurst Town have games in hand over the Moles meaning they will likely finish third and miss out on a promotion place, but they’ll be joined by local rivals Bracknell Town next season after the Robins were relelgated from the Allied Counties top flight.
The young Moles were relentless against the divisions bottom side with the goals shared between Josh Valentin (3), Joe Cole (3), Dan Best, Luke Hayden, Jack Sharman and Will Corbishley.
And there was no let up for youngsters Tom Adams, Liam Vaughan (pictured above) and Charlie Craske who all featured in the clubs Fielden Cup win on Wednesday night.
Post match, assistant manager Mark Poole spoke to us and said: “This was Joe Cole, Josh Valentin, Matt Day, Liam Vaughan, Dan Best and Tom Adams last game for the Youth as they all now move on to either reserve football with Ellis or to go away to Uni.
