A 2-2 draw at Highworth Town tonight coupled with Tuffley Rovers 2-1 defeat at Thatcham Town means Bracknell Town are a point from safety with four to play in the Uhlsport Hellenic Premier League.
A win for Bracknell – who were 2-0 up through Adam Cornell and Seb Bowerman – would have guaranteed a 2016/17 campaign in the Premier Division.
As it is the Robins have experienced a remarkable turnaround – they were 19th in the table when Mark Tallentire took over before Christmas – though the Bracknell boss will have to wait for at least one more game before beginning to plan for next season.

Cornell in particular has been a revelation after a slow start on his return to life at Larges Lane with 16 goals in 22 games – just one shy of former striker Shane Cooper-Clark who scored for new club Thatcham Town this evening in the victory over Tuffley.
Gloucestershire side Tuffley can still catch Ardley United and Brackley Town Saints this season, but need minimum seven points from their last four games, assuming Saints fail to add their points total before the end of the season.
Elsewhere
We’ve already mentioned Thatcham Town’s 2-1 win over Rovers with Cooper-Clark and Daniel Lachacz getting on the score sheet but there was a narrow 1-0 defeat for bottom side Wokingham & Emmbrook at table toppers Kidlington.
In Division 2 East, Bracknell Dev’s home tie with Wokingham was reportedly abandoned according to the Hellenic League Full Time site.
